Health Awareness Camp Held at Kattarigudde
HF committee has decided to conduct Health Awareness Camps under the slogan of “Prevention is better than Cure”. Suffering and financial burden can be reduced by spreading such knowledge among rural masses.
The first of its kind Health Awareness Camp held in Kattarigudde, a village near Kakkinje, Beltangadi Taluk on Sunday 1st December. By selecting a small group of around two hundred people, we will be able to give them brief knowledge on healthcare and prevention of disease.
Initially, with a group of three senior doctors we proceeded to venue. Members of HF Core Committee, HF Chairman Br.Khasim Ahmed, as well as ladies wing participated in this program. Program commenced with recitation of holy Quran and welcome by HQ President, Br. Hanif Haji.
Br. Umer U.H. through power point screening for thirty minutes explained the audience few tips on healthy living, cleanliness, food habits, home medicines, first aids etc.
Dr. Khasim, M.D. Heart Specialist, gave a detailed explanation on how to prevent heart disease, causes, symptoms, first aid, various solutions and treatments.
Dr. Zainuddin, an expert in Eurology, narrated on prevention of diseases, treatment, related to kidney, bladder, prostate, etc.
Dr. Ayesha, an M.D. student managed to deliver a special exclusive talk to women on pregnancy, childcare, and gynaecological problems.
More than two hundred adults, and majority of them are women attended this course. Explanation through power point on all subjects made them to understand easily. Many of them came forward to ask any doubts without any hesitation, and this trend is a plus point in understanding problems.
Lunch was served to all attendees.
