Education is central to development. It empowers people, strengthens communities, and is key to attaining the overall development vision. Getting someone educated is one of the best things you can do as a donor to ensure parents who cannot afford to educate their children, can think and dream of a more fulfilling and prosperous future.

With Hidayah Foundation's vision of providing education to one and all in our region, HF has been conducting various campaigns through teen parent counseling, arabic education, career guidance, education conference, etc. to raise awareness and bring members of community together to think on the same platform. The situation is highly alarming as there is a high percentage of children belonging to the families below poverty line that drop out of school even before reaching primary level.

Hidayah Foundation has identified a school, Kavalkatte Primary School, adjacent to Hidayah Share and Care Colony that it would like to adopt and help the school provide quality education. This is the first step that HF will embark on in the direction of its "education for all" vision, this model if successful will be replicated among many more schools throughout our region.

Kavalkatte Primary School needs help from community members to enhance and equip it with facilities that would help develop children and get them ready to face challenges that lie in todays modern world. The current status of the school stands as below:

- The School is a kannada medium primary school (1st to 7th std), with Urdu as one of the languages taught.
- It has 6 teaching rooms with 1st to 3rd standard merged in one classroom.
- There are 5 full time and 2 part time teachers with one head master.
- Has a room dedicated for computers donated by another school, unfortunately none of the computers work as they are very old. However there is a proposal by old students to donate PCs which hasn’t happened so far.
- 1st to 3rd standard students sit on the floor as they do not have table and chairs.
- No sports equipment and public address system available.
- There are approximately 110 students in the school, co-education, there are students attending from Hidayah Share and Care Colony.

Hidayah Foundation will soon start a campaign to give an opportunity to members of our community to participate by donation and help build the future generation, which shall be a part of a society that’s independent, confident and self-reliant, In-sha-Allah
