This program was sponsored by HF in association with Yenepoya Medical College Hospital, and supported by local organization Vinuthana Yuvaka Mandala and Jayakarnataka Bolanthimogaru, Vitla.

Overall program was organized by HF HQ team supported by Ladies wing and Arabic Teachers. The program commenced at 10 a.m. presided by Br. Hanif Haji and inaugurated by M/S.Shailaja Bhat ex president D.K. Jilla Panchayat, and various guests associated with school SDMC, village and taluk panchayat. A well organized program with all facilities including breakfast, lunch, water etc. A lady doctor Mrs. Ayesha from B.A. Hospital accompanied our team and assisted us in all aspects of camp.

The health camp conducted by Hidayah on Sunday, 30/12/12 was a successful one. The camp had the following specialties: Dentistry-which had 10 dentists with their respective specialties, they came with their portable dental unit. They found the prevalence of dentalcaries to be high. The oral hygiene was very poor. The consumption of tobacco and tobacco products is very high due to which precancerousoral lesions were seen with almost equal frequency among the males and females. - General surgery- thyroid swellings were the main cases, out of which 2 were suspected to be carcinogenic.

The follow up treatment was advised for all necessary cases;

1) General medicine- most of the patients complained of headaches and lower back pain, the cases were advised accordingly and the necessary treatment and the follow-up is given.

2) Ophthalmology-this department had the maximum number of patients and when the patients were seen, they were diagnosed with sight problems. Hidayah rose to the occasion's demand and promised to give free spectacles for which the patients were overjoyed.

3) Obgynic-department reports cases of lower back pain, virginities, white discharge and some cases of primary infertility were also seen.

4) Orthpaedic- department reported cases mainly of joint pain related to chickengonia.

5) Paediatrics- gave a summary of cases of undernourished, underweight children came with upper respiratory tract infection and skin infections.

6) ENT- they were mainly cases of ear infection for which appropriate treatment was given.

Hidayah also hosted a powerpoint video audio program related to nutrition, health and hygiene, as the Aim of the camp was prevention is better than cure. The patients were asked to report in the same premises for follow up treatment on Wednesday 2nd Jan. Also those advised for spectacles will be provided on 10th Jan. The program concluded with vote of thanks to one and all involved in this event.

The total No. of patients attended this camp is 259 out of which 59 cases dental and 47 cases ophthalmologist were asked to report for follow up treatment.
