Medical Camp organised at Somanthadka, Mundaje

Hidayah Foundation in association with the doctors of Yenapoya Medical College Hospital , Deralakatte, Mangalore, conducted the Free Medical, Dental and Eye check camp in Pre University College, Somanthadka, Mundaje. The program was successfully executed with the attendance of quite good crowd from the nearby villages.

The program was inaugurated by Shee Shreedhara Bede, Chairman of the Pre university College, Mundaje. It was presided by Haji Muhammed Haneef J, President of Hidayah Foundation , Mangalore.

The inauguration program was followed by a health awareness program conducted by Brother U.H Umar. He explained some basic things like cleanliness, home medicines, avoiding self medication etc. for prevention of diseases. He explained that we should always think of “Prevention is better than cure” concept.

The camp was successfully organized with the help of around 40 doctors from 10 different departments.

Total of 207 patients registered and were directed to different departments with respect to their problems.

Most of the patients were treated on the spot and medicines were given for free.

Patients requiring follow-up treatment were requested to come to the hospital on 29th of October.

Transportation would be provided by Hidayah Foundation.

64 patients were referred for follow-up treatment.

In the eye department , spectacles were provided free of cost for patients with visibility problems.

48 patients were provided spectacles for free.
