Let us make them feel they are reached

The Main idea behind Distribution is to collect Data of BPL families residing in the remotest areas of some worst affected district, where welfare activities have hardly reached. It is very pathetic that our community & organizations hardly process the data of such families, which is very essential in planning a strategy for uplifting them, be it education, social or economy.

During the month of Ramadhan, Alhamdulillah many of us are blessed with plenty of food for Ifthar and sahari and Eid ul Fitr is celebrated with new clothes and food. On the other hand in many of the surrounding villages many orphan and families abandoned by father are breaking the fast with just dates and water. Couple of food items is still a dream. In the coastal Mangalore region, Hidayah Foundation has started a drive few years ago to reach out to most deserving orphan or families abandoned by father. Alhamdulillah we have managed to reach out 1150 such families. Kit consisting of various materials such as 1 month ration, basic utensils, Quran, prayer dress, prayer book, bed sheet, Eid dress etc… were distributed. We managed to collect the data of these families, which will enable us to identify numbers, age, education level, health condition, financial status etc… which is very essential in our effort of developing them.

Alhamdulillah in the span of 5 years we managed to reach out families (250 first year, 450 secod year, 650 third year, 850 fourth year and 1150) mostly orphan and abandoned by husband. Kit consisting of various materials such as ration, basic utensils, Quran, prayer dress, prayer book, bed sheet, Eid dress etc… were distributed. We managed to collect the data of these families, which will enable us to identify numbers, age, education level, health condition, financial status etc... Above data will be used for development program throughout the year for distribution of scholarship, medical camp, medical insurance, self-reliance program, constructing shelter, toilet and various awareness programs.

We can solve entire communities Rural problem, If we collect the statistics of these families by all the organizations and individuals who are distributing Aid & working in rural areas & Coordinate with each other. Above steps can avoid duplication and will definitely make us reach out more deserving who are eligible for Zakat. This process of our approach to them can easily reduce begging during Ramadan and can stop manipulation of less deserving.
