Hidayah Share and Care Colony
THE FACT
It is evident that basic facilities (Food, shelter, clothing, Medicine) are the most essential things needed for the upliftment of downtrodden. We cannot think of empowering someone who is hungry through education or anything else until and unless we feed them and provide them with basic facilities.
APPROACH
Realizing the above fact through survey, Hidayah foundation laid its efforts in finding most deserving from the region and Alhamdulillah succeeded in identifying 850 such families through various activities such as ramadhan kit distribution.
After providing basic facilities for these families in the places where they were living, last year (2011) we came up with the idea of Hidayah Care & share colony where such families can be gathered and can be supervised for their overall development. Initially 40 single bedroom houses were planned in the first stage. A center for children with special needs is also in the planning.
Implementation -2011 JULY
Alhamdulillah we bought almost 6 acres of land and initiated the construction of houses along with developing the infrastructure such as electricity, road, drainage, water supply etc…
Ist Phase completion July 2012
Al Hamdulillah, By the grace of Almighty Allah, the First phase of 15 Houses were completed just before Ramadan, and 12 families were accomodated in the houses. Members of All NRI Units gathered in the Colony for the inauguration function, which was Inaugrated by the Manglore Qazi.
2nd Phase Completed - August 2013
The second phase of 24 Houses construction work was completed in August 2013. Inauguration was done during the Eid Milan held in August 2013. 24 houses were constructed in this phase.
