Monthly Ration Distribution
The ration distribution for BPL families was started in 2007 by the Hidayah Women’s wing; they started this with 10 families, by providing a kit of INR 600 at that time. In October 2011, we streamlined the process and took this as HF Riyadh’s Prime responsibility; we got good response, support and commitment from all the members, which made this program successful, and as of today we are providing ration to 89 families on a monthly basis, these families are located in different places such as Udupi, B.C Road, Bantwal, Puttur, Belthangady, Neriya, Kakkinge, Kattharigudde, Somanthadka, Venur, Gurvayanaker, Farangipete, Bengare, Boliyar village, Amtoor village, Someshwar etc.
October 2011 to December 2011: we provided ration to 53 families
January 2012 to May 2012: In January 2012 we increased the number of families to 58 (9% increase) and also increased the allowance by 57%
June 2012 to October 2012: In June 2012 we increased the number of families to 69 (19% increase) and in July 2012 added another 7 families, with total reaching 76 families and the allowance increased by 34%
November 2012 to January 2013: In November 2012 we added Hidayah Share & Care Colony residents to ration program and increased the number of families to 88 (16% increase) and the allowance increased by 15%
